Liquid, Pencil Or Gel?

…I honestly can’t decide which kind of liner I prefer the most, so why not just use them all?!

Here are my top 5

 photo IMG_4431_zpshkpcuhlo.png

1. Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl in Super Black – £5. I love Soap & Glory products and so this eyeliner is always a win win for me. It contains jojoba oil to moisturise and nourish with also the antioxidant vitamin E! For me personally, this is great to line your lower lash line as it gives a really rich and intense colour. Perfect also for popping in your handbag/purse.

2. Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Noir – £19.50. A slightly more expensive eyeliner if you’re just looking for one to wear everyday, but this just applies to your eyelid with ease and has such a silky finished look to it! This eyeliner is suitable for contact lens wearers and to use simply apply on the upper lash line using the brush in a stroking kind of action.

3. Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Eyeliner in Beyond Black – £18.50. My wildcard entry! This matte black gel formula is waterproof and very long lasting once applied. I’ve only just started using this, and I wasn’t a 100% at first if I actually liked this product… It’s a little bit tricky to use and you do have to make sure you wipe off any excess from your previous use before applying again. The reason I have placed this on here however is that after some practice I did grow to like it and I just love experimenting in general, so it’s definitely worth a try.

4. Rimmel London Exaggerate Eyeliner in Black – £5.29. This has been my go-to liquid eyeliner for ages and I honestly love this product! It’s highly pigmented and gives a bold look once applied to the upper lash line. It’s long lasting and the applicator helps creates a smooth and precise line. I’ve used it for years and it’s perfect for everyday and at the price you simply can’t go wrong.

5. MAC Liquidlast Liner in Point Black – £16. This eyeliner has a rich colour to it and the brush really helps to create a precise, thin and on-point tip for those who love a winged line. This eyeliner is probably the best at staying put once applied and I love that when I wear it, I don’t have to worry about it coming off at all. If you want an eyeliner that will last you throughout the day and night I highly recommend this brand.

August Bircbox: Review!

 photo IMG_4112_zpsbeut4xgb.png

So, it’s that time again! Here’s my August Birchbox 🙂

This months box was #BeautyJunkie and I received the following products…

1. Rituals: Ayurveda Scrub – £10. This is an exfoliating scrub with a really pretty fragrance! You’re recommended to use it once or twice a week and so far I’m really liking it. The smell is lovely and it leaves my face feeling refreshed.

2. Kebelo: Clarifying Shampoo – £13.95. This is a deep cleansing shampoo to be used maybe once a month to give your hair a bit of a boost. I’ve not actually tried this yet, but for the price I’m hoping it’s amazing. I usually use Aussie products which are a lot less expensive

 photo IMG_4117_zpsf6bhjt2m.jpg

3. Huygens: Exfoliating Cream – £17.90. Another exfoliating cream this month, but unlike the other this is gentle enough for daily use! Simply massage into the skin and rinse away. This is quite a creamy scrub and I like how it feels, however I’m not one for the smell! It’s quite potent and I can only describe it as being very citrus.

4. Lord & Berry: Blush – £17. This is actually the first Lord & Berry product I own! I’ve been thinking about trying them for a while, so I was pleased to receive this sample. This is a ‘suits all skintone’ shade and for my very pale skin it is a nice little pop of colour. I’m excited to try more from them.

5. The Balm Cosmetics: Balm Desert Bronzer – £15. Bronzers in general for me have always been something I avoid. Unless I’ve been on holiday or fake tan for a special occasion, I’m too pasty to get away with Bronzer! I am willing to try it out however, so I’ll definitely keep this sample for a day I’m feeling brave PLUS how cute is the sample box?!

 photo IMG_4121_zpsrsuxr4ed.jpg

6. Formula 10.0.6: Overnight Success Spot Minimizing Patches – £2.95. Infused with Tea Tree and Grape Seed these cleansing patches work on your blemishes overnight whilst you sleep to help improve the look of your skin. I love these patches and I’ll definitely buy more.

And lastly we got… Birchbox emoji stickers! And well, who doesn’t love stickers?

Overall again I really enjoyed this months box! I love that I got to try new products and also receive samples from brands I’ve been meaning to buy from. I can’t wait for the next.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle: Review

– There’s more to life than hair but it’s a good place to start –

 photo IMG_3958_zpsdz1xjowj.png

I’m always looking out for products and treatments that help keep my hair silky soft and in tip top condition. With all of the colouring and highlighting over the years, finding a conditioner that works is at the top of my list!

For around 2 months I’ve been using Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long Deep Treatment and I love it! My hair isn’t in an awful condition, it just needs every now and then a little boost to ensure it stays looking healthy and this is perfect for me.

So what is this? Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is an intensive deep conditioning treatment, especially designed for long hair. This intensive treatment formula, with Australian Eucalyptus extract and Avocado oil nourishes from root to tip! In essence, it cares for dry and damaged long hair by helping to reduce breakage associated with combing.

How do I use? Simple! After shampooing slather on the conditioner and leave on for around 3 minutes, then rinse 🙂 I personally use it after every 4-5 washes as that’s all I need for my hair. However to use it’s all down to personal preference and your own hair care needs.

I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a conditioner that will help keep your hair smooth but full of life if it just needs a lift every now and then (see photo). However, if your hair is perhaps in need of a really deep condition and is in a less than ideal state, it might not be for you. Whilst it works really well for me, for dry/brittle hair I’d go for Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Conditioner 🙂

What are your go-to hair care products?

My July Favourites!

 photo FullSizeRender 8_zpsnaho6w7i.jpg

So, it’s the end of the month and I thought I’d do a blog about the 10 things I’ve been loving in July!

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Conditioner! I’ll do a blog post on this soon as it’s my favourite product at the moment, which keeps my hair silky soft.

2. Spiralized food! I am obsessed with spiralizing courgettes and carrots as an alternative to pasta. If you’ve not spiralized yet, I recommend it.

3. Nude Lipstick! I’ve always been a bit cautious about nude lipsticks, but Rimmel Londons new collection is amazing. My favourite shade is number 42.

4. Simple Night Cream. At the moment I just need a night cream that keeps my skin dry free! I’m prone to dry patches and this helps keep them at bay.

 photo IMG_3748_zpsmryrssbw.jpg

5. 90210!! I’m tentatively awaiting September/ October to come around when all of the TV seasons start up again and so whilst I wait, I decided to give 90210’s first season a second whirl. I completely forgot how much of a crush I had on Ethan… TEAM NAOMI!

6. How To Build A Girl, by Caitlin Moran. I loveeeeee this writer and I’m currently reading her new book ❤ I’ll do a review on this soon, she’s my favourite!

7. Soigné Nail Varnish in Lavande. This was in my BirchBox and I can’t get enough of this colour. It’s perfect for Summer.

8. Treacle Moon Body Wash in Raspberry Kiss. This is possibly the loveliest smelling body wash ever. I love Treacle Moon, go try them!

9. Carex Hand Gel (Strawberry Laces). I think I have a problem as I can’t stop using this…

And lastly, I am LOVING SUMMER!! Hand me a Sangria and bring on August!

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara: Review.

~ I’m just a girl who loves mascara – Emilia Clarke ~

 photo IMG_3945_zps2oj70w57.jpg

I love mascara, I can’t leave the house without it!! Being blonde, I need a mascara that is going to make my light coloured lashes stand out and be noticed. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of Benefits They’re Real mascara as it’s been my go-to for quite some time now; however I’m all about trying new makeup products and so I thought I’d try Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara in black.

I’m quite prepared to spend a mini fortune on mascara, but I’m pleased to say that this one is quite reasonably priced at £9.99 (Boots/ Superdrug).

The applicator/Wand is quite slim in design and the bristles are relatively short. I like this feature however as you can get really close to the base of your lashes to ensure a thorough coat of mascara is applied. I always apply 2 coats to my lashes due to how light they are, and I have to say I’m impressed with this mascara!

The product comes in two colours, black and black/brown and states that it is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers too.

It didn’t clump my lashes together and it definitely caught all the little lashes in the corners of my eyes as well ensuring my lower lashes stood out also. For the price of this mascara, I’d definitely buy it again and recommend it to my friends who perhaps don’t want to spend the earth on beauty products.

If you’re after a new mascara; either from not liking the one you’re currently using, or if you’re a bit like me and just love trying new things… Give it a go 🙂

– What mascaras are you loving lately!? –

From Brassy To Classy

~ Being blonde is a full time job! ~

 photo image 3_zpspnhncqlb.jpeg

 photo photo 9_zpsafxnxex2.jpg

Since getting my highlights redone I’ve recently been introduced to two products that I have come to love. I thought I’d share 🙂

I wash my hair every other day so that it doesn’t dry out too much, but what I’ve found really helps keep my hair hydrated is leave in conditioner. Bumble and Bumble leave in (or rinse out) conditioner really works well with my hair. It’s slightly expensive at £20.50 from Boots but you don’t need too much and so it lasts quite a while.

My personal preference is to leave it in and let my hair dry naturally. And as you can see from the above photos from the wet hair to the dry, I’m quite pleased with how smooth it’s all looking despite all the bleach!

So, along with keeping my hair silky and soft, I also want my colour to last (preferably as long as possible)! Lee Stafford Blonde Hot Shots are amazing! I got them from Boots also for £7.49.

There’s nothing worse than being a brassy blonde (unless this in intentional of course…) and these tiny little pots of purple goodness really knock out those tones for a lighter and brighter look. I use one shot every 5-6 washes and I leave them in for 2-3 minutes at a time. I find for me that this is enough to keep my blonde shining bright.

– What are your hair care tips? –

April Favourites.

 photo photo 4_zpspgx9ywd6.jpg

I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite products at the moment. Not necessary new products on the market, but certainly things I could not live without!

1. Batiste – £2.99. I love it! I’ve been using Batiste for years and I’m yet to find a product that does the same job for my hair. It adds volume and texture whilst revitalising your locks for those in-between wash days.

2. Barry M Clear Nail Varnish – £2.99. For Spring I wanted my nails to look fresh and with this clear nail varnish I achieve just that. My nails look clean with a nice shimmer on them when the light catches the varnish.

3. Raspberry Body Butter – £5.00. Winter dries out my skin so much and so it’s now getting towards the time where I can use a moisturiser that’s a little bit lighter. I’m really liking The Body Shop Raspberry Body Butter at the moment. The smell is amazing and I can only describe it as like a fruity yoghurt!

4. Maybelline New York BB Cream – £7.99. I can’t recommend this highly enough if you want coverage that lightens your skin so that you have a healthy glow without a heavy foundation look, go for it. Great for Spring!

And last but not least for April I am loving HIGHLIGHTS! I decided that with a new season, new hair was needed. I opted for a shorter and lighter blonde to mirror the upcoming sunshine.
